Program Description

This competency-based training program develops participants’ understanding and practical skills in applying heat treatment processes to industrial metal components. The program covers fundamental metallurgy, heat treatment principles, process selection, furnace operation, process parameter control, and quality inspection. Participants progress from understanding material behavior to performing and evaluating heat treatment processes in accordance with industrial specifications and safety requirements.

Method

Classroom instruction, technical discussion, instructor demonstration, hands-on practice, case study, process simulation, and competency-based assessment.

Requirements

Participants should have basic knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with workshop safety and basic measurement techniques is recommended.

Target Participants

Production operators, heat treatment operators, quality control personnel, maintenance technicians, production engineers, junior manufacturing engineers, and vocational or technical graduates working in metal manufacturing industries.

Participants are able to identify suitable heat treatment processes for industrial metal components, prepare and control process parameters, perform basic heat treatment operations safely, and evaluate the resulting material properties and component quality against specified requirements.
