Program Description

This program develops participants’ competence to operate injection molding equipment safely and effectively in a production environment. The training progresses from injection molding fundamentals and machine components to material preparation, mold and machine setup, process parameter control, production operation, product inspection, defect identification, troubleshooting, and production process improvement.

Certification Certificate of Completion – Injection Molding Operator Program for Production Readiness, awarded upon successful completion of the training and competency-based assessment.

Method

Instructor-led technical instruction, demonstrations, and interactive discussions.
Hands-on practice with injection molding machines, molds, materials, and production equipment.
Production-oriented exercises, defect analysis, troubleshooting, quality inspection, and competency-based assessment.

Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and workplace safety.
Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and production procedures.
Willingness and ability to perform practical activities in an industrial production environment.

Participants are able to safely prepare and operate injection molding machines, handle molding materials, perform basic machine and mold setup, control essential process parameters, monitor production conditions, inspect molded products, identify common molding defects, and apply appropriate corrective actions to support consistent production quality.

  • 3. Injection Molding Process Operation
  • 3.1 Injection, holding, cooling, and ejection process parameters.
  • 3.2 Monitoring and adjustment of temperature, pressure, speed, and cycle time.
  • 3.3 Production operation, process stability, and basic parameter control.
  • 4. Product Quality & Defect Troubleshooting
  • 4.1 Visual and dimensional inspection of molded products.
  • 4.2 Identification of common defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, and burn marks.
  • 4.3 Basic root-cause analysis and corrective adjustment of molding conditions.
  • 5. Production Readiness & Applied Molding Project
  • 5.1 Preparation and execution of a complete injection molding production cycle.
  • 5.2 Process monitoring, product inspection, defect correction, and process verification.
