Program Description

Competency-based 3D CAD drafter training covering workplace safety and quality procedures, engineering measurement and calculation, technical drawing interpretation and preparation, 2D CAD drafting, detailed engineering drawing, and 3D part and assembly modeling.

Method

Instructor-led explanation and demonstration, guided measurement and drawing exercises, supervised 2D drafting and 3D modeling practice, assembly tasks, and integrated CAD assignments.

Requirements

Basic computer operation skills are recommended. Prior CAD experience is not required; basic technical drawing knowledge is beneficial.

Target Participants

Prospective and junior CAD drafters, design and manufacturing technicians, vocational students, and instructors involved in technical drawing or mechanical design.

Learning Output

Participants can apply basic OHS and quality procedures, perform engineering measurements and calculations, interpret and prepare technical drawings, create 2D CAD drawings, develop 3D part and assembly models, and produce basic technical drawing outputs.
