This program develops participants’ competency to perform gear manufacturing using hobbing machines in preparation for industrial production. The training progresses from gear manufacturing fundamentals and machine components to workpiece and hob preparation, machine setup, gear cutting parameters, machining operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and production quality control. Emphasis is placed on safe machine operation, dimensional accuracy, process consistency, productivity, and adherence to standard operating procedures in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Method
Instructor-led technical explanation and machine demonstration

Learning Output
Participants are able to prepare gear workpieces and hobbing tools, set up and operate a hobbing machine, determine and apply appropriate machining parameters, perform gear cutting according to technical specifications, inspect gear quality using appropriate measurement methods, and identify basic process deviations while following safety and production procedures.
