2D CAD Drafting for Engineering Application

Back to Services

Program Description

This competency-based program develops participants' ability to produce accurate 2D engineering drawings using CAD software in accordance with industry drafting practices. The training progresses from CAD fundamentals and system setup to drawing preparation, creation and modification of geometric entities, dimensioning and tolerancing, annotation, layout and plotting, and completion of a production-ready engineering drawing project.

Certification BNSP - Drafter CAD 2D
Duration 40 JP

Method

Blended and project-based learning, consisting of focused instructor-led theory, CAD software demonstrations, individual hands-on practice, guided coaching, and an industry-oriented drawing project.

Requirements

Basic understanding of technical/engineering drawing.
Basic computer operation skills.
Interest in engineering or manufacturing applications.

Target Participants

Suitable for vocational education teachers and students, beginner drafters, CAD operators, and manufacturing/engineering technicians who require practical competency in 2D CAD drafting.

Learning Output

Participants are able to operate 2D CAD software effectively, create and modify engineering drawing entities, apply dimensions, tolerances, and technical annotations, prepare drawing layouts and plotting settings, and produce complete 2D engineering drawings that can be used as engineering or manufacturing documentation.

Program Advantages

The program combines structured CAD fundamentals with intensive hands-on practice and an industry-based project, enabling participants to build practical drafting skills while developing accuracy, efficiency, drawing organization, problem-solving ability, and the capability to produce CAD files and production-ready engineering drawings.
