This program develops participants’ competency in using Mastercam to create efficient CAM programs for CNC machining applications. Participants learn the CAM workflow from importing and preparing CAD geometry through toolpath planning, cutting parameter selection, toolpath verification, post-processing, and optimization, with emphasis on machining efficiency, accuracy, tool life, and production requirements.
Method
Instructor-led technical sessions, demonstrations, guided Mastercam exercises, hands-on CAM programming, toolpath simulation and verification, machining case studies, and project-based practical assessment.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of CNC machining and machining processes.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings and cutting tools.
Basic CAD knowledge and familiarity with CNC machine operation are recommended.
