Back to ServicesProgram Description
This competency-based program develops supervisors as First Line Managers who directly oversee employees and act as a communication bridge between employees and higher management. The program focuses on building effective supervisory interpersonal skills, understanding responsibility and authority, developing a professional and positive supervisory personality, conducting constructive employee discussions, addressing low performance and undesirable work habits, recognizing good performance, and communicating workplace changes effectively.
Method
Instructor-led learning, individual reflection, group discussion, case studies, role-play, supervisory conversation simulations, and practical exercises based on workplace situations.
Requirements
Participants should have basic work experience and understand their current job responsibilities. The program is particularly suitable for employees who currently hold, or are being prepared for, a supervisory or first-line management position.
Target Participants
Supervisors, First Line Managers, Team Leaders, Foremen, Section Heads, Coordinators, and employees being prepared for supervisory responsibilities, particularly those who need to strengthen their interpersonal and people-management capabilities.
Learning Output
Participants are able to perform their role as effective First Line Managers by exercising appropriate responsibility and authority, building positive relationships with employees, conducting constructive supervisory conversations, addressing performance and behavioral issues without attacking personal dignity, recognizing employee contributions, and communicating workplace changes in a constructive manner.
Program Advantages
The program strengthens the interpersonal foundation of supervision by helping supervisors manage people through communication, respect, positive attitudes, and constructive problem-solving rather than relying primarily on authority or punishment.
