Program Description

This competency-based program develops welding practitioners who can perform welding work in an industrial environment with consistent quality and safe working practices. The training integrates welding fundamentals, material and process selection, equipment preparation, welding parameter control, practical welding techniques, and weld quality inspection. Participants progress from foundational skills to production-oriented practice and practical competency assessment.

Certification BNSP - Welding Practitioner

Method

Classroom instruction, technical discussion, instructor demonstration, intensive hands-on practice, guided exercises, defect analysis, workplace simulation, and competency-based assessment.

Requirements

Participants should have basic knowledge of metalworking and workshop safety. Previous experience in welding is recommended, particularly for participants who will progress toward industrial welding responsibilities.

Target Participants

Welding operators, fabrication technicians, production personnel, junior welding technicians, vocational school graduates, and individuals preparing to work as professional welding practitioners in manufacturing and fabrication industries.

Learning Output

Participants are able to prepare welding equipment and materials, select appropriate welding processes and parameters, perform welding operations on common joint configurations and positions, identify and address common weld defects, and evaluate weld quality according to applicable work instructions and industrial requirements.
