A competency-based practical training program designed to prepare entry-level milling operators to perform basic milling operations safely, accurately, and consistently in a production environment. The program covers machine fundamentals, technical drawing interpretation, workpiece and cutting-tool preparation, basic machining parameter selection, machine operation, dimensional inspection, and basic troubleshooting.
Method
Blended learning combining classroom instruction, instructor demonstration, hands-on milling machine practice, guided exercises, workplace-oriented tasks, and competency-based assessment.
Requirements
Basic understanding of workshop safety and manufacturing processes, Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and read simple technical information, Basic familiarity with conventional milling machines is preferred but not mandatory.
Target Participants
Beginner or entry-level milling operators, Vocational school graduates entering machining/manufacturing industries, Production personnel requiring basic milling operation competency, rainees preparing for placement or structured internship in machining production,
Learning Output
Participants are able to safely prepare and operate a conventional milling machine for basic production tasks, select appropriate tools and machining parameters, produce simple components according to technical drawings, and perform basic dimensional inspection to verify machining results.
